Growing up in Cape Town, I was surrounded by a landscape and culture that celebrated contrast and connection. The city’s blend of art, nature, and heritage sparked my love for design and storytelling, and nurtured a lifelong curiosity about the people and places that give life its colour.

Later moving to Sydney, Australia I have been exposed to a culture with its own unique and rich history and exquisite landscapes, often noticing the parallels between the two places. Immersing myself in this vibrant, fast-paced city working in the distribution industry, I knew I wanted to bring special products to market and I knew I wanted to do it in an authentic and intentional way.

Sourcing and importing products from home felt like the right next step. My plan is to take it one day at a time, continue to grow and partner with talented craftsman and entrepreneurs, and provide products that elevate and enrich our lives.

Creating Farther Afield has been a personal and significant story in this chapter.
