the journey..

Having grown up in Cape Town, I was deeply influenced by its rich tapestry of cultures, craftsmanship and natural beauty. My experiences as a child and young adult living in South Africa instilled in me a profound appreciation for diversity, a love for design and artistry, and a curiosity for people and places.

Later moving to Sydney, Australia I have been exposed to a culture with its own unique and rich history and exquisite landscapes – often noticing the parallels between the two places. Immersing myself in this vibrant, fast-paced city working in the distribution industry, I knew I wanted to bring unique and special products to market and I knew I wanted to do it in an authentic and intentional way.

Sourcing and importing products from home felt like the right next step.

My plan is to take it one day at a time, continue to grow and partner with talented craftsman and entrepreneurs, and provide products that elevate and enrich our lives.

Creating Farther Afield has been a personal and significant story in this chapter.
